Blog This!
I rarely have time to visit some of the best blogs on the internet, and they don’t necessarily have to be poker theme based to be great, but of course my main interest is poker so that’s normally where I end up. Tonight I visited Maudie’s brain wandering induced ink trails, and one of the things she mentioned in her September 11th post (ouch ‘911′) was poker burn-out or blogger/poker burn-out or something that she felt moved her into the select group of a few others that were wondering if they could continue ‘poker’ blogging. Of course you can silly kid.
This isn’t a lecture, it’s a reminder. We write because we want to record our thoughts and memories and be able to visit the pages again so we know where we were at what time in our lives. We write for therapy. We write because we are thrilled to meet someone that reads us and likes what they read. We DON”T have to write about poker. Honestly, if we write about poker all of the time, we need counseling because something is off in our lives and we are desperately grabbing at a social life or existence that can be quite remarkable during the competition at the green felt, but yet leaves a lot of seasoning to be desired in the full scheme of life.
There you have it! Take a break if need be, call me for a glass of wine, get plenty of exercise, rest, take your vitamins and watch your diet, go to work, and when the day is said and done, SHUT THE FUCK UP AND WRITE!

For some reason the comment section of the blogs is in trouble. The programmers have been working on it and it still is in need of a major overhaul. Please don’t give up, try again on Monday if you’ve already tried and failed, the boys that tweak the system will be back after the weekend.
And I will be back after I find Sandwoman Land.

I agree totally.
Side note: Pokerworks.com gets filtered at my place of employment. If there’s any way you’d make your complete entries available via bloglines, I would certainly love it. But I can understand if you’re looking to drive traffic to the site, I’ll just have to get my fix on off-hours.

Hi BadBlood, I will check with the programmers on the RSS feed but I believe it as you stated, we want the traffic. And thanks for being a reader and for posting. Even though I write for myself, it’s always a super rush to know someone is reading me. I’ve been cruising yours lately too. Wish I just had more time.

Mike, I’m on my way to Aruba, leaving Thursday night and will be gone for two weeks. I assume you will be at Bellagio for Festa Al Lago tourney. Good luck! Hope you know them dead and I’ll see you when I return home.
