I have most of everything back in working order. How wonderful! From chaos and possible death thoughts (for the computer, thinking the final straw would be for it to kill itself and deprive me of the pleasure of stomping it into the pavement after I dropped kicked it through the door of the coach out onto the pavement), all’s well in Linda’s multi-tasking world. I’ve made headway…managed to do a complete system recovery, after wiping out the entire hard drive and starting over, back to winXP.  It’s my favorite operating system.  So…why???  (more…)

but the computer’s laying on the floor with giant stomp marks all over, pieces of mother board are stuck in the ceiling, the hard drive is buried in the wall…just kidding.  I’m in the after shock of backing up files, setting up a new pc, getting ready to try Fujitsu tech’s recommendation for blasting Windows Vista out of my regular laptop.  UGH!  What a complete waste of two days.  My brain feels hammered.  I always have one more pc than I need…just in case.  It’s a damn good thing.  Back soon with pictures and more life stories and a little poker thrown in for good measure.  Anyone in the market for Window’s Vista Ultimate upgrade?  Send me an email if you are…*sucker*

has me cursing and wishing I’d used a lot better sense.  Perhaps if I was drinking wine on a daily basis, I would have used better judgment.  I’ve tried to do a system recovery and revert to my old operating system, but alas, I hit a Fujitsu error just as it starts.  *beats face into wall*  More later when I’ve cooled down.

Although Ken did build his house - so did Kevin - there’s so much more to building a house than just putting up a foundation and walls with a roof. Although Vicki is very industrious and a large contributing part to the marriage, the house displays mostly Ken’s personality. He’s got a very dry sense of humor and even though we threatened to kill each other when we were younger, we are very fond of each other now. I truly cherish the time I spend with him (even when he’s trying to bluff me in the family poker game :-)). (more…)

For some reason the word cougar surfaced on one of our first hikes. I believe it was Josh and Jenny that aired the topic as we headed off into the woods around Round Lake state park. There was a tinge of trepidation in the word, a sense of ‘are we in danger’ type of thing. Too funny. Sure there are cats out there roaming the mountains, there are some hanging out in the mountains around Vegas. Are they stalking people? NO! In general, they are nowhere near where we are, even in the deep woods. You won’t know they are there unless you see footprints in the snow…yikes…no snow in August. Oh well! (more…)

I missed some of the family poker games this year simply because I was out trekking the forest trails and my coach was parked up at Kevin and Gayl’s place and I spent some time working on PokerWorks website, although it doesn’t show in posts to Tango. (more…)
