Farewell and Hello

Today was farewell to Chip Reese. His memorial services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, the 7th. I debated going; since funerals are a strange subject for me to even begin to tackle, I won’t. I was given the information of the time and place and told that it was for my information only, no one else’s. The next thing I knew, I received an email from someone that must have wanted the world to know as it wasn’t a private email, it was a submission email. That email truly cemented my decision to NOT go. I felt it would be a total zoo and too many people would be there for it to even be close to sharing a farewell moment with others.

The hello side of life, the annual winter blogger tournament kicks off tomorrow. A lot of my blogger kids are in town already and met last night at the usual watering hole (the IP). I didn’t. I hit the hay early and slept for over 14 hours. Yikes! What happened to living while I’m alive and sleeping when I’m dead? I have no idea! But I couldn’t seem to crawl out of it so I enjoyed it. Tonight everyone will be meeting at MGM for a game or two of poker with lots of lots going on. C U there!
