I can’t help but wonder if the glorious days of insane poker bloggers converging on Vegas is becoming a thing of the past. It certainly doesn’t feel the same as it did a year ago but then a year ago didn’t feel quite the same either. The winter gatherings bring in most of the horde and I’m hoping this December will see the same or better enthusiastic flood of my favorite poker lunatics showing up in Sin City. (more…)

I can’t help but wonder what the fate of the WPT will be. This article points to a not so bright future. On May 26, 2002, I was present at the Media announcement of the WPT - World Poker Tour. I was even told that I might be the dealer to deal the hand that showed the hole card cams…but my breasts weren’t big enough - no shit? - and I didn’t. Someone that had never held a deck before was given the honors…her breasts were big enough. Nah…I don’t want them and it’s never been an issue with me. If my tits had to represent/proceed me in my lifespan I’d go have surgery, just like almost every other woman in Vegas has done. (more…)

on styling up for a shot at the WSOP Ladies event, only to be refused admittance and have his buy-in refunded. Honestly? I can’t get into ladies events. It’s kind of like the seniors and the employee events…they are restricting admittance due to a requirement that the whole population can’t fulfill and that is discrimination to me. What the hell do I know? There’s a thread in the forum on ladies events, anyone interested in contributing?

the temperature is perfect for an early a.m. stroll - evening to some of us - and that’s what I just did. I had to wait for the Window’s Service Pack for Vista to download and install anyway. The warning message on the service pack was ‘don’t even think about using your computer while this is going on’ so I didn’t. (more…)

not know a frigging thing about the game of poker. It’s the boo hiss season right now. I’m busted out of four tournaments with Aces. But why would aces beat 2-3 or 8-4 or any of those magnificent holdings? It ain’t gonna happen. (more…)

Tournament and news reports are coming in and the people side of poker is going up on PokerWorks in the WSOP Central section. My favorite part of poker is the people side of it. I don’t mind the people so much but I do hate the cards a lot at times. I’m still beating my head into a brick with the Chasing Chris Ferguson project, but hey…why not? What better time could I have than playing poker from home and being able to get really vocal when I take a beat - without getting a warning from the floor!
